Description

This is a solid way to get out of town and spend a few hours in the jungle. The whole experience takes about 3 hours and includes off-road driving, nature, and time to cool off in a cenote.

After pickup in Playa del Carmen, you’ll arrive at the buggy base and meet your guide. Before you drive anywhere, there’s a clear safety talk and time to get comfortable with the buggy. Each vehicle seats two people, and the pace is set so beginners feel confident. You don’t need previous experience, just a valid driver’s license if you’re driving.

Once you head out, the route takes you along dirt roads and jungle trails. Expect bumps, turns, dust, and lots of green around you. It’s not a race, but it’s active and fun, and you really feel like you’re moving through the landscape rather than just passing by it.

Partway through the tour, you’ll stop at a cenote. This is usually a favorite moment. The temperature drops, the noise fades, and you step into clear freshwater. You’ll have time to swim and snorkel, or just float and relax. Snorkeling gear is provided, and the guides are nearby if you need anything.

After the swim, there’s time to eat a light lunch, have some water, and rest before heading back. The guides stay with the group the entire time and keep things organized without rushing. By the end, you’re usually dusty, refreshed, and glad you spent the morning doing something active and different in the Riviera Maya.
