Icacos Deserted Island Catamaran, Snorkel, and Picnic Cruise
Description
This trip is a great way to spend half a day on the water without much planning. You’ll spend about 5.5 hours sailing, swimming, snorkeling, and relaxing near Icacos Island, one of the small, uninhabited cays off Puerto Rico’s east coast.
You’ll start the day at the marina in Fajardo, where you board a comfortable catamaran and head out along the coast. The ride itself is calm and scenic. There’s shade if you want it, open space if you prefer the breeze, and plenty of room to spread out and get comfortable.
Once you reach Icacos, the water is usually clear and shallow. This makes it a good spot for snorkeling, even if you don’t have much experience. You’ll see tropical fish moving around the reef, and you can take your time getting in and out of the water. If snorkeling isn’t your thing, that’s fine too. Many guests just wade along the shore, float in the water, or relax on the white-sand beach.
Lunch is served onboard while the boat is anchored nearby. It’s a simple picnic-style meal with sandwiches, sides, and fruit, plus water, soft drinks, and tropical drinks for adults. There’s no rush. You can eat, relax, then head back into the water or stay on deck.
On the way back to Fajardo, most people kick back, dry off, and enjoy the views. It’s an easygoing day that feels relaxed from start to finish, and a nice way to experience Puerto Rico’s coastal waters without overdoing it.
