Description
Tulum’s quiet streets and forest trails seem almost made for exploring by bike, so why not combine your Tulum city tour with the local’s favorite way to get around? On a Tulum bike tour, you’ll get to see some of the town’s top spots led by a Tulum insider.
You’ll start the day with an early visit to the Mayan ruins for some stunning views of the ancient city’s temples and the ocean beyond - minus all the crowds. A tour of the archaeological site with an expert guide will help you understand the motivations and reasons behind the city’s structures and you’ll get to learn some eye-opening secrets about Tulum's history and structure.
Next, you’ll bike back into town for a typical Tuluminati brunch: delicious tacos and fresh juice. Cycle it off on a ride through town to get a real taste of how locals live and get tips from your guide on the best places in town to eat, drink, and dance.
Head to the local (stingless) bee farm to taste local honey before your final stop at a local cenote for a refreshing swim. The restoring blue waters of cenotes is an ideal way to end the tour and relax after an invigorating and educational ride.
If you’re not a big cyclist, don’t stress. The Tulum bike tour is designed so that anyone can enjoy it. You’ll ride for a maximum of 20 minutes at a time with a comfortable amount of rest at each stop with a total of about 10 miles of riding. Tulum e-bikes are also available to help you ride through the town if you think you’ll need them. This optional extra is available for an additional $10 per person.
